The Common Data WG’s role is to map, guide/lead creation of a platform, and to utilize data in a regional and national scope from vein-to-vein to further the interests of transfusion medicine. This team’s main deliverable is a multi-centre transfusion medicine data warehouse. They are currently developing minimum standards for data inclusion, a common data dictionary, and a process for triaging data requests. The Common Data WG also publishes manuscripts describing their methodology.
